AMOS WONG
Amos is a composer, music director, and educator with a passion for telling stories through music. He creates works that blend heartfelt storytelling with vibrant theatricality, reaching audiences globally.
A graduate of New York University (MFA in Musical Theatre Writing) and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (BMus in Composition and Electronic Music), Amos’s works include Hong Kong After Midnight: The Disco Disco Musical, featured at BEAM2025, the UK’s largest new musicals showcase, and presented in a concert reading at PRISM Off-Broadway. His musical adaptation of Grave of the Fireflies was nominated for Best Musical Score at the 2023 Hong Kong Drama Awards and toured Taiwan in 2024.
As a music educator, Amos teaches piano, flute, music theory, and composition to students of all ages, alongside group courses in aural training and workshops in piano accompaniment. He holds performance and theory certifications from Trinity College London (ATCL in Piano Performance) and the ABRSM (Grade 8 in Piano, Flute, and Music Theory).
He is also the founder of XTRAMENTAL, a non-profit theatre company in Hong Kong dedicated to empowering teenagers through stagecraft, performing arts, and music.
Friendly, creative, and passionate about sharing music, Amos continues to balance his work as a composer with a commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians and theatre artists.
